New Christians
When a baby is born it needs to be cared for by his or her parents. Some parents are very good at this and others are not so good. That child is fed with milk and as he gets older is fed with solid food. As the child grows he or she starts to become independent in many ways – use their own knife and fork at dinner, put on their own clothes, brush their own teeth, and it is good to see this growth and independence.
The Bible speaks of the Christian as being someone who has been ‘Born Again’. The Apostle Peter said, “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow in your salvation.” 1 Peter Ch. 2v2. When Paul was writing to those Christians who had not grown in their faith he said, “I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it.” 1Corinthians Ch. 3v.2
The purpose of this section of the website is to feed the ‘baby’ Christians with milk so that they will grow in their faith and also give the more mature Christians solid food. This site is here to help people come to a personal experience of Jesus Christ as Saviour, and to help all Christians mature in their faith.
There are people with different levels of understanding on what the Bible teaches and have a different view point on some matters. To accommodate as many people as possible the various topics and subjects are presented in a variety of ways. However, we also know that this site may not work for everyone, but in spite of our failings, it is our hope that everyone can find something useful here.
