The National Award scheme
What is it?
The National Award Scheme is a programme of activities, all connected with CE in some way, which leads to the award of badges and certificates. It encourages Juniors and young people to use the talents which God has given them and helps them to attain the high standards set by Christian Endeavour. The scheme may be completed up to the age of 16 in a YP Society.
How does it work?

Six passes are required for the Bronze Award, seven additional passes for the Silver and a further seven for the Gold. How do you start?
Leaders should obtain a copy of the "National Award Scheme" book, which provides full details of the requirements for each subject, from:
CE Headquarters - see the contact us page
How do you keep going?
On enrolment, Juniors receive a Progress Book into which is inserted an appropriately completed certificate every time a subject is passed. When six passes have been obtained (including two compulsory ones), the Progress Book is sent off to the National Award Scheme Convener and the Junior receives a Certificate and a Badge at Bronze level. The same procedure is followed at Silver and Gold levels.
The National Award Scheme can help your CE group to fulfil the aim of CE which is to train children and young people for the service of Christ and the Church.
If you would like further information or training on how to get started or, if you have started but would like some advice, please feel free to contact CE Headquarters.
