World's CE
Dear Christian Endeavorers,
In western Pennsylvania, spring starts to arrive in March. We see the snow melt and the rains come. March is a month when the weather can vary from very warm to very cold. However, we have not experienced the earthquakes and tsunamis that others in the world are suffering from. When we see natural disasters happen, we ask: How can we help?
We need to go back to God’s written word to see the answer. In Ephesians 2: 8-10, we read, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” In other words, Christ in His amazing love came to save us. In addition, we are God’s masterpieces and were designed by God to do good works.
At our winter retreat, we had about 100 young people respond to that very message of hope and challenge. Imagine if young people across the world would respond to God’s call to go out and help the suffering and the needy. We at the World’s Christian Endeavor Union want to help National Unions to be able to work with young people and challenge them to do that very thing.
In Peru this summer we will have an opportunity to get together as Christians from around the world to experience the grace of our Lord through worship, teaching and fellowship. Young people will get the chance to hear the gospel and respond to it to fulfill God’s calling in their lives. We all can make a difference in our world by helping the suffering, the needy and the lost!
Consider coming to Peru to experience the fellowship of other believers and make a difference in the world for our Lord!
