A bag for new life
At all of the marketing events we attend, we have available a Christian Endeavour paper carrier bag. These bags have several advantages to both Christian Endeavour and to the people attending the particular event. Every bag that is carried round the exhibition halls advertises Christian Endeavour.
Inside each bag there are items about Christian Endeavour. An average bag contains a calendar which has details of Christian Endeavour on the reverse side; a current CE News; a bookmark; an extract from the Programme book; an extract from the Award Scheme; flyers about Christian Endeavour; and, recently, our new leaflet that gives words of gratitude not only from Church Leaders but also members of societies.
Whilst we recognise that receiving the literature will not bring an instant response, it is important that more and more people are made aware of what Christian Endeavour is able to offer to meet the needs of Churches.
Those with expertise in marketing are of the opinion that people must have at least six exposures to an item before any positive response is made. Much marketing work needs to be undertaken but, at both the last Baptist Assembly and the CRE at Esher, we were getting positive responses. Now there is a growing awareness of Christian Endeavour and that it is responding to the needs of Churches.
